Cape Town is situated below Table Mountain in the northern part of the Cape Peninsula.   Mountains stretch from Table Mountain southwards to Cape Point and the peninsula has the Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Indian Ocean to the east.  Along the coastline there are a host of bays and hidden beaches and has a rich and varied flora with a rich Mediterranean climate.

Some Places of Interest:

Table Mountain - The summit of Table Mountain can be reached via a table car or by an easy climb that takes 1 to 2 hours.  

The City - Places of interest in the city of Cape Town are the Planetarium, Museum and fort (castle).

Waterfront - An easy going shopping experience can be had at the Waterfront which also hosts a good selection of restaurants, cinema and the two oceans aquarium is also nearby.

Casino - Grand West is a casino complex that has plenty of restaurants and things to do for children such as a mini fun fair and an ice ring.

Ratanga Junction - ‘The wildest place in Africa’, Ratanga  is a theme park situated in Century City, which also hosts the Canal Walk shopping centre.

Kirstenbosch - Hosts a botanical garden beautifully situated on the slopes of Table Mountain.

Cape Point - Situated in the Cape of Good Hope nature reserve, baboons, ostriches and buck can be viewed there.

Winelands - In Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl, where wine tasting and wine sales take place on certain farms.
